MALVERN Town U18s were denied a famous win at Edgar Street as Inkberrow U18 came from behind to win the Herefordshire FA Giantkillers Cup in a tense final on Wednesday night.
Malvern took the lead mid-way through the first-half when Harry Malcom's strike from the edge of the box found the bottom corner.
Inkerrow responded just before the half-time whistle as a free-kick into the Malvern box was eventually forced over the line.
And Inkberrow completed the turnaround shortly after the interval when one of their forwards went around the keeper following a neat move to tap home and put his side into the lead for the first time.
Malvern were offered a lifeline on the hour when Inkberrow were reduced to 10 men for the remainder of the contest for a second yellow card.
Malcom had a shot deflected onto the bar as Town went in search of an equaliser, but Inkberrow held firm and dug in to protect their lead and win the trophy.
