MALVERN Town Women made it four wins from four on Sunday as their perfect start to the 2023/24 season continued.
Saff Boswell's 13th-minute opener put Town ahead, but the visitors dug their heels in for large parts and it was not until the second-half that the hosts ran away with it.
Jess Kenny scored soon after the restart to make it 2-0, before Maggie Smith's volley extended their lead.
Grace Harker found the top corner with a brilliant strike from 20 yards and two minutes from time, Smith grabbed her second of the afternoon to round off the scoring.
The result sees Malvern stay top of the table with a maximum 12 points from four games and they are now already six points clear of the rest, although most teams have played a game less.
"It was a very good all-round team performance," said assistant manager, Steve Dallow.
"In games like this it’s easy to overlook the defence and ‘keeper but a lot of our good play started from them and when they were called it to action, they were solid.
"It was also pleasing to give everyone minutes which haven’t been able to in all games this season."
