MALVERN Town Women's Saff Boswell became the youngest senior women's player to score a hat-trick as the league leaders continued their incredible winning run with a 6-1 win over Kidderminster United.
16-year-old Boswell grabbed two early on in the second-half as Malvern eventually ran riot at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
The hosts had been frustrated in the first-half and only led 1-0 thanks to Maggie Smith's well-taken finish.
But Boswell had two within the first ten minutes of the second period to make it 3-0 before Smith grabbed a second and Lily Power scored a fifth soon after Kidderminster had pulled one back.
And then with time running out, Boswell thought her chance to grab the match ball was over when she had a goal ruled out for offside. But she would not be denied in the end as Lucia Meigh provided the assist for Boswell to convert and secure the hat-trick and a 6-1 win.
The victory keeps Malvern clear at the top of the Midwest Counties Female Football League with four games remaining.
But the teams below Malvern do have games in hand and so Taylor's side do have to keep this winning run - which is now at six games - up if they are to win the title.
Second-placed Redditch Borough (46 points) and Hereford Pegasus Ladies (44 points) have played three games less than Malvern and remain the favourites to win the title.
But Malvern are doing everything they can to keep the pressure on.
