MALVERN RFC continued to slip down the table as they were beaten by rivals Hereford RFC in an entertaining clash at Spring Lane last weekend.
A Mark Philo brace of tries helped the Wyesiders to an important victory while Lewis Jordan and Iwan Holder also crossed the whitewash as Hereford triumphed.
Hereford had been 19-0 up at one stage but Malvern fought back to secure two losing bonus-points.
But the result means it's now four defeats in five for Vern, who have dropped from second-place down to fifth in the Regional 2 West Midlands table.
Their task does not get much easier this weekend either, as they travel to third-place Ludlow, who have won five games on the bounce.
