MALVERN RFC Colts came from behind at half-time to win a thrilling contest with local rivals Worcester RFC Colts last Sunday.
Having found themselves two points down at the break, Malvern came produced a stunning second-half performance to eventually run out 43-28 winners.
The hosts put on a show for those in attendance at Spring Lane and Mason Campbell (2), Alex Jones (2), Charlie Pallett (2) and Corey McNally all scored for the home side eventually shake off Worcester and cruise to victory.
Coach Gareth Richards was impressed with what he saw after the game.
“Both sides played some decent passing rugby today, especially in the second-half” he said.
“As a team we are beginning to come together and a win over Worcester is always nice!
“The key is now to keep developing in training but the boys are enjoying their rugby and that’s the main thing.”
In other Colts news, Malvern’s Ben Gaubert has been involved with the England Counties set-up recently.
Gaubert is currently involved with the Midlands U18s squad but was invited to a two-day training camp with England Counties at Warwick School & University.
Gaubert, who captains the Colts, has also been involved with the Worcester Jaguars rugby league side.
King’s School Worcester hooker Jack Lyman also joined Gaubert at the two day camp and both are hopeful or more involvements in the future.
