TERRY Jenkins faces a heavyweight clash against Raymond van Barneveld when he gets his PartyPoker.
net European Championship campaign under way tonight.
The Ledbury thrower’s encounter is the penultimate first-round match in Muelheim, Germany, and is due on the oche at 11.05pm.
Jenkins is currently eighth on the PDC order of merit, while five-time world champion Barney is just two places lower.
The winner will face either Michael van Gerwen or Andy Smith at 9.10pm tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, the Bull rounded off a successful time at the PDC Players’ Championship in Barnsley, reaching the fourth round after a semifinal appearance the previous day.
Jenkins saw off fourth seed James Wade and in-form Australian Simon Whitlock to earn a semi-final place against Ian White.
The man from Stoke proved too strong for him, however, whitewashing The Bull 6-0.
The next day, Jenkins continued his form, progressing comfortably to the last 16 with an average of 106 before narrowly losing out 6-5 to van Gerwen.
