CAPTAIN Ben Schiffmann has heralded the team spirit at Worcester Nomads after winning promotion to the Birmingham League.
The Bransford-based club are preparing to step up a level after being crowned Worcestershire League Division One champions for the first time.
Nomads beat Coombs Wood by eight wickets to claim the title, seven points ahead of secondplaced Pershore.
“It’s something we have had in our minds for a few years and we have been close on a couple of occasions but to finally win it is magnificent for everybody,”
Schiffmann said. “It was a great day and all the hard work paid dividends in the end.
“From a personal point of view, it’s a great achievement for me and the club in general.
We have got a really good team spirit and everybody gets on really well and that has helped us to get the end result of winning the league.”
“Everybody has chipped in along the way. For the second half of the season we have been undefeated. We will have a couple of months to wind down. We are prepared”
