EASTNOR skittled Harborne for 84 in claiming their second Birmingham and District League Division Two success of the season.
Captain Clive Chadhani joined Faisal Khalid in an unbroken stand of 43 to steer the mid-table Herefordshire side home by seven wickets at their Clenchers Mill Lane base.
The platform for the win was provided by the bowlers, backed up by slick catching in the field, after the visitors opted to bat on winning the toss.
Atiq Ur Rehman picked up two sharp slip catches, one off Shahid Ahmed and the other Mohammad Adeel, to reduce Harborne to 3-2 in the fourth over.
The visitors rallied but Shahid took three wickets in four overs to make the score 40-6.
Nasir Ali Khan (27) batted resolutely before becoming Atiq’s third slip catch off Jabran Khalid’s first ball.
Shahid (5-24) claimed another wicket, courtesy of a fine diving catch by keeper Arshad Hussain, to give him 11 victims in his last two league outings.
Kieran Iyer (17no) battled on but his fellow tail-enders fell to the spinners.
Josh Emery took his second catch of the day to complete the innings on 84 in the 37th over with Jabran taking 3-9 off 5.4 overs.
In their reply, Eastnor’s batsmen started tentatively and dangerous Kiwi pace bowler Ian Butler took the three wickets to fall, including Atiq.
But, by this time, the hosts were halfway to their goal.
Chadhani (13no) steadied the ship and, with Faisal (35no) playing with ever-increasing confidence, the target was reached in the 19th over.
