WINLESS Malvern continued their disappointing start in Worcestershire League Division Three with an 18-run home defeat to Tenbury.
The visitors batted first and struggled for runs against a disciplined bowling attack with opener Aaron Morris (27) top-scoring.
Owais Shah was again the most successful Malvern bowler, returning 5-19 from 13 overs with five maidens.
Rob Perrins claimed three and Chay Ankers and Andy Croft a wicket apiece in Tenbury’s 102 all out.
Malvern needed a solid start in their run pursuit but both Richard Cullen and Andrew Cullen were then dismissed cheaply.
Skipper Anthony Arnold and David Cox batted solidly until the former was unlucky to be adjudged caught behind.
Cox followed soon after and, though Jeremy Lee hit out effectively for 24 runs, Malvern were eventually bowled out for 84.
