LEDBURY Swifts Rovers under 13s showed fantastic spirit in the RS Signs and Engraving Cup final to fightback from two goals down to beat undefeated league leaders Pegasus 4-2 at Hinton FC.
The Ledbury youngsters started brightly and created several chances in the first 10 minutes, only then to be cruelly punished twice on the break.
Ledbury rallied and began to dominate once more and deservedly reduced the deficit prior to half-time when Sam Branch headed home from a free-kick. After the break, Ledbury were on top and mid-way through the half, a free-kick was awarded and, from long-range, Sam Lane produced a fantastic strike to restore parity.
Ledbury were now creating a host of chances and it was no surprise when Kieran Loveridge neatly finished after a fine sweeping move to put his side ahead.
With five minutes remaining, it was Ledbury who deservedly struck once again when Charlie Ayland danced along the byline and neatly stroked the ball home.
Pegasus pushed hard in the final minutes, but Ledbury held firm to ensure cup success.
Meanwhile, Ledbury Swifts Rovers under 13s also travelled to Lads Club for their third fixture in five days and, in a full-blooded encounter, the spoils were shared 2-2.
Resting players after their cup triumph, Ledbury began well and created several chances, but it was Lads Club who took the lead mid-way throught the firsthalf after a fine sweeping move.
Ledbury rallied, but were unable to regain parity and, just before half-time, Lads Club increased their lead with a speculative free-kick.
After the break, the visitors made several changes and soon reduced the deficit when Loveridge converted well from just outside the box.
Ledbury spurned several chances, until Branch converted from a Ayland centre to level.
