MALVERN Town need to start converting their pressure into goals, according to manager Les Jones.

The Langland Stadium outfit have lost their West Midlands League Premier Division matches in 2012 without scoring — 3-0 to Wednesfield and 1-0 to Wolverhampton Casuals last Saturday at home.

That sequence continued on Tuesday when Town were also beaten 3-0 by lowly Bustleholme on their own patch in the league cup.

Jones admitted his frustration at the situation but insists his team are creating more than enough chances to win games.

He now hopes his charges can prove the point against Pegasus Juniors at Old School Lane tomorrow (3pm).

“I am pleased with how the team are playing but we are dominating games and not scoring,” the Malvern boss said.

“We lost 3-0 to Bustleholme but hit the bar and the post in the first-half.

“It’s frustrating at the moment that we are not scoring when we should be because we were hitting the net quite freely before Christmas.

“The good thing is we are still creating chances and dominating games but it’s frustrating for myself and the players.

“We just need to score first. Once one goes in we will go on and get more. Hopefully it will turn against Pegasus.”

Malvern are 13th in the table, five places and eight points better off than Juniors, but Jones is not taking anything for granted.

“We were hoping to kick on last weekend so tomorrow is a big game for us,” he added.

“It’s going to be tough because it’s a derby but it’s a game we can win so we have got to be positive.”

Defender Ryan Barry (thigh) and central midfielder Paul Edwards (ankle) should be back for the Pegasus trip, while centre-half Joe Endacott (work) is available again after missing the Bustleholme cup tie.
