Old Hill 251-1, Eastnor 122 all out.
EASTNOR were knocked out of the Graham Williamson Trophy after going down heavily at Old Hill in their first-round tie.
Old Hill rattled up 251-1 in their 40 overs when they batted first, and then bowled Eastnor out for 122 in the penultimate over to win by 129 runs.
Eastnor bowled well in the early stages of the innings but the young Hill openers stuck to their task and eventually put on 141 before Mike Hingley was bowled by Mustifa for 63.
Former Herefordshire batsman Nathan Round was quickly into his stride and hammered a quickfire 61 to take the score past 250.
Alex Hills needed four off the final ball to complete his century but had to settle for three. Eastnor’s cause in the field was not helped by injuries to two players.
Jabran (19) and Mustifa (31) gave Eastnor a decent start, but they fell well behind the required rate and were eventually bowled out in the 39th over.
They will now play at Knowle and Dorridge in the Plate competition.
