MALVERN College Old Boys (OMs) defeated Eton College Old Boys by three wickets in the semi-final of the Cricketer Cup on Sunday.
Malvern play against Old Tonbridgians in the final, which will be played at Richmond Cricket Club on Sunday, August 13.
Eton batted first slumping to 33-5 before recovering to reach 173.
In reply, the OMs reached their target in the penultimate over having lost seven wickets. Jon Wileman, at Malvern College from 1983-88, scored a half century.
The Cricketer Cup is played for by 32 schools annually. Inaugurated in 1967, Tonbridge, whom Malvern College meet in the final, have won it more than any other side with the OMs lying in second place, having been in nine finals of which they have won four.
