A MALVERN karate student earned his black belt with a 100 per cent exam record.
Alex Beasley, of the Ultimate Karate group, achieved his faultless grading to earn his Nidan Second Dan belt.
The 22-year-old has been with the club since he was 11 and, after a brief break from the sport, he resumed his training in January last year.
The two-hour exam required Beasley to display an all-round knowledge of all aspects of Wado-Ryu and freestyle karate and demonstrating a number of moves including arm locks and take-downs.
