Barnards Green u14s 35 all out, Hanley Castle & Upton-upon-Severn u14s 39-2.
HANLEY welcomed Barnards Green and home skipper Will Chambers won the toss and inserted the Green on a lively track.
Mark Smout removed the dangerous Wilson for a first ball duck, with the batsman edging to a leaping Tom Bottomley in the slips.
In the third over, Smout removed the attacking Hennersey lbw.
Resistance from Scullion was ended when Bottomley found movement and bounce ripping out the heart of the Greens batting, Scullion was caught and bowled, Selldone (bowled first ball), Harris (bowled) and Howles (caught behind) edging to the athletic Spring.
James Smith took a diving catch off the reliable Bovington, Green were 20-6.
Hanley’s fielding was excellent, two run-outs and a slip catch by Bywater, off Chambers, wrapped up the innings at 35 all out off just 11.5 overs.
Hanley’s Alex Spring and Toby Harper saw off the pacy, accurate and dangerous Green bowling attack of Hennersey and Scullion.
Singles kept the scoreboard moving slowly and both openers moved the score along.
Although Harper fell for four and Smith followed for three, the job was done.
Spring batted though for 20, Matt Dunwell fell for a duck and Johnny Bywater added a single before the game was sealed with a boundary from Spring for a Hanley win by eight wickets.
