Eastnor u13s v Colwall u13s.

WINNING the toss and batting first, Eastnor struggled against some fine opening bowling from Harry Bee and Jono Gooch, with three wickets falling in the first two overs.

Will Kitching, Oli Warrilow and Zac Lawrence bowled well and took most of the wickets. Ben Cooke took an excellent slip catch.

Eastnor were bowled out for 47 in the 19th over. In reply, against some good bowling, Colwall knocked off the winning runs in the 14th over for the loss of only one wicket.

Henry Lee was caught for 15, Joe Watts and Cooke were the unbeaten batsman.

Worcester Nomads u14s ‘B’ v Evesham u14s (Worcs South Cricket League).

WORCESTER Nomads lost the toss and were asked to field in their first game of the season.

Ben Robinson (33) gave Evesham a rapid start, but wickets tumbled the other end.

Kieran Court (27) did his best to keep the innings together. But some excellent fielding by Nick Jones and Jamie Fern resulted in two run-outs. The Evesham batsmen kept their run rate at six-an-over which was assisted by some poor fielding by the Nomads.

Jamie Humphries playing his first game for Nomads and bowled superbly taking 3-13 off his four overs. Fern also picked up 3-22 off three overs.

Henry Dewar took the other Nomads wicket as Evesham finished their innings on 101-9 off their 16 overs.

Nomads lost Andy Woodyatt in the first over, which seemed to rattle the pair of Mark Grimes (18) and Fern (10) and they never really got the innings going and struggled against the varied bowling. Evesham bowled 43 extras. Nomads finished their 16 overs on 78-3, giving Evesham a 23-run win.

Worcester Nomads u12s v Evesham u12s Nomads: 18 overs 140-1 (M Hines and D Badger retired on 31, G Elsden 22no). Evesham: 18 overs 57 all out. Worcester Nomads won by 83 runs.
