A CALENDAR clash saw members of Malvern Joggers split over two popular local events.
In the Crowle 10k race, 27 Joggers added to the 470-strong field.
Worcester AC’s David Field was a convincing winner, finishing in 34 minutes one second, nearly two minutes clear of team-mate Chris Davies.
First of the Joggers home was Andy Dickenson in 25th place with 41.24, followed 24 seconds later by Peter Wilson in his first outing since the London Marathon.
The first of the Joggers’ ladies was Maria Liviero in 104th place with a time of 46.24.
Meanwhile, another 13 club members took to the roads around Tewkesbury for the town’s annual half-marathon. Near perfect conditions greeted the 957 runners as they set off on the 13.1-mile route.
The Joggers’ Jon Newey ran well to finish in fifth place with 1.18.11.
First of the Joggers’ ladies home was Julie Marshall in 294th place in one hour 44 minutes, 19 seconds, a personal best by seven seconds.
