CANON Frome started their Crusader Worcestershire League Division Four South campaign with a 174-run triumph against Barnards Green Thirds.
After a steady start, Canon Frome openers James Fortnam (47) got flowing with the patient Paul Andrews (21).
However, it was when they had reached 76-3 that both Rogers (41) and Neil Andrews (22) started to take the attack to their opponents.
They departed at 155-5 but Louis Watkins (37) and Matt Morgan batted Frome into a strong position.
Morgan went on to complete his maiden century for the club and finished 107no in an impressive total of 312.
It took a run-out and catch from Rogers in the 16th over to break the deadlock in the reply.
Wickets then flowed steadily with Watkins taking 4-16 in 12 overs.
