Hanley Castle & U 101 all out, Old Vigornians 91 all out.
CHARLIE Robinson took 5-17 as Hanley Castle & Upton won by 10 runs at Old Vigornians in a low-scoring Crusader Worcestershire League Division Four South match.
A late choice for the match, Robinson bowled brilliantly with support from Ian Hobbs (2-33).
Hanley captain Adam Hunaban lost the toss but Rory Mathews (15) and Dave Young started confidently before falling to the excellent Philips, who also added Grant Mathews to his haul of 3-24.
With the departure of Andrew Heath and Julian Lambert, Hanley were in trouble.
However, Dave Hayes (32) batted superbly with able support from Olivia Robinson and Hunaban to help Hanley reach a paltry 101.
In reply, Hunaban and Naulls bowled without any success as the OVs openers moved onto 36 without many scares.
Robinson and Hobbs then entered the fray and in six frenetic overs OVs imploded to 48-6.
Nicholas Firth (26), though, seemed to have turned the game back in OVs’ favour at 84-6) before Ross Naulls returned to the attack to leave Hanley on the brink of victory.
Captain Hunaban then clean bowled the tail to give his side maximum points.
