Worcester Dominies and Guild 240-7, Bosbury 236-9.
MARCHES League Division Two side Bosbury played host to Worcestershire County League side Worcester Dominies and Guild on in a pre-season friendly. Winning the toss, the visitors decided to bat and reached 240-7 after 40 overs.
In Bosbury’s reply, new opening batsman Dave Spiller got the home team off to a good start, but fellow opener Probyn fell for just two with the score on 36. Steve Davies went cheaply soon after. Spiller was out caught behind for a solid-looking 40, and Darren Woodhouse joined Luke Ledbury.
The pair then put on 54, with Ledbury bringing up an impressive half-century, before Woodhouse was caught brilliantly by Matt Williams on the boundary for 28. Ledbury was adjudged lbw for 68, while Abbey and Daffin departed. Mark Wadley was out to another great catch by Matt Williams for the ninth wicket, but last wicket pair Paul Allen and Peter Blake put on an exciting 25-run partnership which took the game to the last over, but Bosbury lost by four runs.
