Judy Colliver registered her best ever round since joining The Worcestershire Golf Club five years ago, storming round the course to return a nett 67 in the April medal.
She was delighted to drop her handicap by two shots to 25 and also qualified as one of the top eight for the Ledbury Plate.
Five other players also finished with sub-par rounds including Jen Bishop, who won the silver division, lady captain Di Meakin and Sally Dare as well as Pat Fletcher and Brenda Jones in the bronze section.
Jo Hawes from The Her-efordshire won the best gross (87) at the spring meeting of the Worcester-shire and Herefordshire lady veterans golfers’ association at The Worcester-shire.
Eileen Griffin (Stour-bridge) won the Ros Wes-ton salver for the best nett in the silver division with Margaret Wheatley collecting the Mary Priest trophy for the best nett in the bronze division.
The four players with the best gross scores qualified for the knock-out stages at the same venue on Monday for the championship sal-ver. Griffin takes on Diana Mucklow in the first semi-final with Sapey’s Pat Watkins pitted against Linda Richards from Gaudet Luce in the second.
