An 18-year-old Worcestershire Cricket player has received his first call-up to England's U19 squad.

Jack Home, who has been part of the Worcestershire Academy for four years, will join up with the England Young Lions squad to train in Stellenbosch, South Africa, from November the 25th through to the 16th of December.

The camp is in preparation for three one day internationals, and two test matches that will take place in South Africa during January and February of next year.

Home is primarily known for his strong bowling ability, having taken 16 wickets in five appearances, playing for The Worcestershire Rapids in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.

Mike Yardy, Head Coach of the England Men's U19 squad, said: "It's an exciting winter for this group of players. Firstly, a training camp to develop individual skills and be very clear on a style of play. This is then followed by a competitive series versus South Africa in both white and red ball cricket."
