IT was a successful morning for the Upton U14s team as they reached the semi-final of the Plate following a dominant 28-0 win at Worcester.
Max McLeod sliced through inside the opening two minutes to give the visitors the lead before he crossed again mid-way through the first half after a lovely wrap-around move down the left wing.
At 14-0, Upton were in the driving seat but Worcester dug their heels in and showed moments of what they could do, but Upton were equal to it in what was a competitive first-half.
The scrum was proving to be a real weapon for Upton, and it was another dominant shove that gave them the platform to score a third try, once again from McLeod, who crossed for his hat-trick after 32 minutes of action. He also converted the try to make it 21-0, with all the points coming from the impressive inside centre.
Upton emptied their bench to give each player time on the pitch but despite the alterations, there was no let up in the momentum and Upton were soon over for try number four when Henry Hutchins crashed over after another barnstorming run.
Upton now move into the semi-finals of the Plate competition.
