IN form Malvern Town will be targeting a fourth league win on the bounce this weekend when they welcome Willand Rovers to the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
The Hillsiders' trip to Tavistock last weekend was postponed due to the weather, giving them two weeks to reflect on their third win in a row in their last outing against Mousehole.
The weekend off probably came at the wrong time for Malvern given their recent form, but Cleal is hopeful recent high standards will be maintained when Willand arrive on Saturday.
"The lads are looking to continue their progression; we’re determined to maintain the high standards that we have set and add to our points tally," said Cleal.
"The improvement in the team over recent weeks is there for all to see."
Having struggled in the early months, Malvern seem to have found their feet in Step 4 and three wins in a row has seen them pull away from trouble down at the bottom.
They came from a goal down to beat Mousehole and that was evidence of the side's newfound belief.
"We’re playing with plenty of confidence and belief now; when we went a goal down on Saturday, we didn’t panic," he added.
"We had the better chances in the first half and also had a few penalty appeals turned down, then when they scored you started to think that it wasn’t going to be our day, but credit to the lads because they kept going and scored two good goals to get our reward.
"It was a deserved win. If you work hard, you get your rewards and it’s clear to see how far we have come on since the start of the season."
