Can you let me know if the North Stand at Sixways is for sale?
I believe it’s a dismantlable/temporary construction and I want one for Malvern. pic.twitter.com/zPHgixc0Y9
Pinder is interested in developing the ground at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium with a new stand oppositive the current main stand and confirmed to the Worcester News that an official approach has also been made to Atlas.
The Hillsiders are preparing for what will be just their second-ever appearance at Step 4 next season having won promotion via the play-offs last month.
And in attempts to improve the matchday experience, Pinder is keen to add another seated stand at the ground in Langland Avenue as the club look to expand.
The North Stand at Sixways is a temporary construction and there have long been plans to build a new stand. Planning permission was granted by Wychavon District Council in 2006 for a new two-tier North Stand, which would create space for 5,000 spectators.
Now director at Atlas, Jim O'Toole, said back in 2017 that he was hoping to turn the North Stand into a more permanent structure to boost the capacity towards 15,000.
But that all seems a long way away given the current situation at Sixways.
