Malvern Town's players now have to own the fact they have a target on their back according to co-manager Stephen Cleal.
Malvern Town went top of the Hellenic League Premier table in mid-week after a sixth win in a row saw them jump up above Cribbs.
Town host fellow high-fliers Corsham Town this weekend and Cleal has warned his players of what is to come.
"That’s six wins in a row now and if we want to be successful then we have to put runs like this together," he said.
"This kind of run does increase the pressure in that we are there to be shot at, but we are working hard to keep improving and raising our standards.
"We need to be better for longer spells earlier in games and this is something that we are working to get right."
Malvern came from behind on Tuesday to beat Hereford Lads Club and Cleal was pleased with how his side reacted to going a goal down.
"We knew what to expect from Lads Club," added Cleal.
"They are big, strong and physical, but we did okay in the first half.
"We got hit by a sucker-punch to fall behind to a penalty and at half-time we asked the lads to show character and move the ball quicker.
"As soon as we got the equaliser, there was only going to be one winner. It was always going to be tough but in the end it was a big three points for us."
