MOTOR vehicles will be banished from Church Street for a few hours tomorrow (Saturday) for the Sir Edward Elgar Bicycle Challenge organised by Malvern Fringe.
The road is closed between 9am and noon to enable as many cyclists of all ages and abilities to race up the normally congested road. This years event has already attracted the interest of some of the Midlands cycle clubs.
Members of local cycle club VC Sevale will be on hand to give advice and tips to novices. Entry to the event is free and riders are advised to arrive early for signing on which begins at 9.15am.
There are various prizes, donated by local businesses, and if anyone fancies dressing up as Edwardian gentlemen/lady they could win an extra prize.
