VICKY Lane is the new junior captain at the Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern Wells.
The 16-year-old county girls golfer drove-in on Sunday to become the first girl to hold the office at the club.
Vicky, who plays off a 15 handicap, became a member of the Worcestershire in 2003.
Ross-on-Wye GC's senior team have enjoyed recent success. After a draw at Hereford, home wins were recorded against Broadway and Lilleybrook. An away win was also posted at Stinchcombe.
Ross A' kept up their good form with a 4-2 win at Worcester Golf and Country Club. There were good wins for Gwynne Morgan/Stuart Tier 4&3 and Martyn Walker/Andy Crispe.
Brian Macnamara/Alan Bebb claimed a half along with James Morgan/Nick Ellis. Nick Pomeroy/Chris Burford won one-up.
The only pairing who came away empty handed was Steve Wallbank and Andy Stephens.
Ross C' thrashed Monmouth GC 6-0.
The winning margins were captain Malcolm Thornton/Robin Henderson Pugh 5&4, Paul Reynaert/Peter Chapman 5&4, Nick Swan/Joe Irvine 3&1, Richard Kimp/Cecil Wheatstone 2&1, Barry Robbins/Paul Gibbons 3&2 and Peter Lowe/Bob Turley 7&6.
