COLWALL U11S v PERSHORE
FREDDIE Coleman was in sparkling form as Colwall beat Pershore by 68 runs in the Bishop Trophy eight-a-side pairs cricket.
Solid partnerships between Joe Watts, Henry Lee, Oli Warrilow and John Gooch pushed Colwall's score to 235.
The third pairing brought Coleman to the crease, who, with debutant Michael Gooch in support, dismantled the Pershore bowling, hitting five fours and one six to make 31 and rattle the scoreboard up to 270.
Ben Butler and Bryan Leighton batted out the final session to leave Colwall on a commanding 285. Pershore's batsmen had no answer to the Colwall attack as Watts and John Gooch both took wickets with consecutive balls.
Coleman contributed three wickets with good support from Michael Gooch and Butler and good work behind the stumps from Lee. Pershore could only muster 217.
WORCESTER NOMADS U16S v KEMPSEY
WORCESTER Nomads' first league match of the season saw them achieve a comfortable 78-run win against Kempsey.
Winning the toss and batting first, Nomads scored an impressive 173-2 in their 20 overs with Sam Roberts top-scoring on 97 not out. Captain Will Ford (11) and Jack Longley (21) also chipped in.
Jack Watkins (2-9), Richard Puckett (2-9) and Ford (2-8) were the pick of the bowlers as Kempsey capitulated to 95 all out.
MALVERN U11S v HANLEY U11s
MALVERN notched up a second successive win in the Bishop Trophy.
Hanley batted first and found runs hard to come by. Wickets from Hennessey, Whaler, Robertson, Dovey and a good caught and bowled from Pemberton restricted Hanley to 206 off 16 overs.
Malvern's opening pair of Hill and Hennessey got off to a good start with a stand of 14. The middle order was kept together by Boden and a cameo innings from Dovey, top-scoring with 33, saw Malvern finish on 256.
COLWALL U13S
COLWALL defeated Bromyard by 104 runs in the Herefordshire U13s Cup.
Bartlett (34 not out retired), Sam Crichard (30no retired), Brett (16), Harwood (15) and Huxley (10) helped Colwall to 147-4.
Bromyard were all out for just 43 after the efforts of Harwood (3-8), Crichard (2-1) and Huxley (2-5).
BROCKHAMPTON BADGERS
BADGERS beat Bromyard by 15 runs in the Eastern Division. Badgers made 124-1 thanks to J Mokler (30no retired), M Langford (30no retired) and G Craig (17).
Bromyard ended on 109-3 after George Godsall retired unbeaten on 30 and Nick Coleman made 16.
