WELLAND Junior Lions U10s have just finished a successful season which saw them win the Mercian Festival U10s league and the Talbot Page-Jones Memorial Shield.
Their league performance was particularly impressive, losing only twice to Newtown Sports Juniors and Evesham United Robins.
The shield final was one-sided with Welland running out 5-1 winners over Leigh and Bransford Badgers Wanderers. A fine hat-trick by Harry Davies and solo goals by Adam Saunston and Nathan Hughes wrapped up the win. The game was marred late on with a head injury to Joe Kemp which put him in hospital but fortunately was nothing serious.
As a club Welland are expanding and are on the lookout for new players at all age groups. If you're interested contact Pete Manion on 07768 657870.
Welland Junior Lions U10s would like thank G Kinahan and Sons Fencing Contractors for their generous support.
