MALVERN Rugby Club attempt to win the North Midlands Cup for only the second time when they face Solihull on Sunday (May 13) at Stourbridge RFC (3.00).
The teams have competed in the same Midlands Two West division this season with Solihull finishing in fourth position and Malvern in sixth spot.
Malvern director of rugby Dave Robins said: "Its going to be a tough game, all finals are, and I suppose we will be the underdogs which suits us.
"In our league encounters we drew 12-12 away on very poor, wet and muddy pitch and lost at home 33-10, although they ran in a couple of late breakaway tries.
"They are reputed to have the biggest pack in the league and a good back row but I have been able to pick the strongest side I can and I feel we can match them.
"The lads are up for it and it should be a good match.
"We have been well supported all season and hope many people will come to the final and hopefully see us lift the cup."
In the semi-finals, last year's finalists were defeated in close games with Solihull seeing of cup holders Luctonians 15-13 and the Spring Lane side defeating runners-up Whitchurch 22-20.
Malvern have also defeated University of Worcester 25-16 and Bromsgrove 37-15 meanwhile Solihull saw off the challenge of Bridgnorth 50-5.
