STOURPORT II v COLWALL II
COLWALL Seconds continued their winning start to the season with a comfortable nine wicket victory at Stourport Seconds.
After winning the toss and fielding first Colwall were put under pressure with some wayward bowling. Despite Crichard's early breakthrough the home side had reached 60-1 after only ten overs. Bennett (2-27) and King (2-14) calmed the Stourport batsmen and the next 60 runs took the best part of 26 overs. Reuters returned for an impressive second spell, in which he took three wickets and Coleman grabbed two.
Colwall chasing a target of 143 had a nervous start losing King in the second over and the Stourport keeper dropping Hankins and Coleman while they were in single figures.
However, the pair recovered and put on 125 with Hankins finishing 69no and Coleman 46no.
