FORMER Worcestershire Golf Club professional Graham Hawkings was in action last week in the PGA Seniors Championship held at Northamptonshire Golf Club at Church Brampton.
From 120 entries Graham made the final 40 cut after two rounds, lying in 20th position, helped by holing his second shot for an eagle on the par four 8th hole.
He wasn't quite able to maintain his standard during the final round and slipped to 37th position.
Graham said: "It was my first competition since November in Portugal and I was pleased with my overall performance. Conditions were not easy, it was windy and the course was dry and hard."
He has his sights now set on the British Seniors Open at Muirfield at the end of July, followed by the Ryder Cup Welsh Open at St Pierre, Chepstow, in August and the PGA Seniors Tour Champion-ship in September at Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk.
