LEDBURY seconds recorded an impressive 48-12 victory over fellow high-fliers Worcester Wanderers thirds in the Worcestershire and Herefordshire Merit Table Two.
The Ross Road hosts scored eight tries after a blistering start with the forwards dominating the opening stages.
Strong running and skilful offloading saw man-of-thematch James Seager and Greg Jones dive over with fly-half Josh Nolan converting one. Centre Joel Skyers finished a flowing move to establish a 17-point lead.
Ledbury’s front five ensured a steady flow of possession and winger Bryn Edwards extended the lead although the visitors replied with a try of their own before half-time.
Early in the second period, Ledbury extended their advantage to 29-5 when John Vince scored a converted effort. Despite changes, three more tries were recorded, one by full-back Ali Park and two more by Vince.
Nolan converted two and Wanderers’ late second was just a consolation.
