THERE was a shock result in Worcester and District League Sunday Division Three when leaders Worcester Raiders crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Malvern Victoria.
Steve Nolan and Andy Lancett were on target for Victoria who also ended Raiders’ 100 per cent record.
Powick thrashed Malvern Rangers VFC 9-0 in Division Four with Stuart Harvey notching a hat-trick alongside doubles for 17-year-old Sam Rathbone and Sean Smith.
In Division Five, an 11- goal thriller at Leigh and Bransford Badgers saw Worcester visitors Garibaldi triumph 6-5.
Lewis Baker fired a treble and Terry Gorman a double for Garibaldi with Nick Medakovic (3) and Jack Pearson (2) on the scoresheet for Badgers.
Callow End secured an impressive 3-3 Premier Division draw with Arrow 2000 as Rob Sinclair scored twice.
Malvern Radar are hot on the heels of Division One leaders Heenans after Louis Loader converted a late penalty to defeat local rivals Colwall St James 3-2.
Inter Express defeated Malvern Rangers 3-2 in a Division Two derby.
In Saturday Division One, Rathbone notched a hat-trick in Powick’s 4-1 home win over Hallow.
In Division Two, Katy O’Ryans led Leigh and Bransford Badgers 8-0 after 80 minutes with Andy Ellis and Dan Hopkins both netting twice.
Badgers then scored four times in the last 10 minutes as Joe Turner and Ashley Jones bagged doubles in a final 8-4 scoreline.
Malvern Hills slipped up with a 5-3 defeat at Pig and Drum.
