THOUSANDS attended jubilee celebrations in Malvern today, continuing a successful weekend.
Crowds ambled along Belle Vue Terrace and Priory Park.
The terrace was closed to traffic and turned into an outdoor market complete with folk band ACBC who had feet tapping and youngsters bopping.
Town crier Gillian Baines, who was proudly resplendent in ruffs, collars and cuffs and tricorne hat, called the townspeople to the Jubilee events.
Martin Burton, organising committee chairman, said: “I think we’ve had 4,000 people in at the peak time."
In Upton-upon-Severn more than 200 sat down in High Street to dig in to sandwiches and mini trifles, courtesy of the Upton Tourism and Trade Association (UTTA).
They were also serenaded by the Pepper Pot Players, with eye-catching entertainment provided by belly dancers among others.
Tonight the Worcestershire beacon was due to have a an actual Jubilee beacon lit on its summit as a line of fires was lit the length and breadth of the UK.
