A CHARITY that provides transport to doctors and hospital appointments has issued a plea for recruits.
Volunteer drivers from Upton Community Care made almost 2,000 trips for 700 different clients last year.
But it has recently seen the number of drivers on its books decline, leaving just 38 people to cover the workload.
Roger Wildin, chairman of the charity, which is based in High Street, Upton-upon- Severn, said he would like to hear from anyone willing to help out “in any capacity and for any amount of time”.
Anyone interested can call 01684 593633.
