A GROUP that is creating a community garden in Elgar Avenue is calling for volunteers to come along and lend a hand on Sunday (May 1).
The Wilderness Regeneration Group is holding an event to celebrate National Guerrilla Gardening Day.
Starting at 2.30pm, group members will be recycling newspapers to make pots, sowing wildflower and sunflower seeds, and recycling plastic bottles to make hanging planters.
They will also be giving out sunflower seeds to Pickersleigh residents as part of the Big Pickersleigh project that aims to improve liveability in the area.
The group has thanked local firm Brandon Tool Hire for its help, advice and donations of tool hire. It also has a display at Malvern library to raise awareness of the garden, and is one of the Waitrose Community Matters funding candidates this month.
