SAY, the Salvation Army Youth group, welcomed local people to a coffee morning at the Salvation Army Hall last weekend.
The coffee morning was a chance for people to enjoy a coffee and a chat and meet the Malvern branch of the Salvation Army.
“It was very successful. Lots of people came and had a lovely time and what was really nice was some of the people who came to the coffee morning then joined us for our Easter Sunday service, “ said Jean Waples of the Salvation Army.
“We wanted to show people that the Salvation Army in Malvern is very much alive, “ she said, adding that the event was so successful that the coffee morning is set to become a regular event. The next coffee morning will be on May 14 at the Salvation Army Hall in Newtown Road from 10am until 12.30pm.
The Salvation Army plan to run a Holiday club for 5-9-year-olds during the school summer holidays. The club will run for one week from August 1-5 and is a new venture from SAY, the Salvation Army youth group. The holiday club will runs from 10am to 12noon and will cost £5 for the week, including all activities and a snack. For more information contact Jean Waples on 01684 891248.
