A DAY of cycle races was held at Malvern Youth Centre to celebrate the opening of its new grass track.
More than 30 people turned out to compete for prizes at the event, which was sponsored by Malvern Link business Bricycles.
Ryan Bell and Joel Guiver-Dewar posted the fastest time of 19.1 seconds, Kyle Philpotts took second place and the title for the most spectacular crash went to Calum Bradford.
Youth centre manager Jon White said: “Everyone at the event had a fantastic time and we had some great races. I'm so pleased with how it's turned out and I think it will offer a great facility to young people of Malvern.”
Pro rider Tim Stedman said: “A great new facility in the centre of Malvern, I hope it will be well used as it offers a safe and well designed track. An awesome addition for bikers young and old to Malvern.”
