MALVERN residents could soon find a new sort of currency filling their wallets.
A meeting is being held next week to discuss the introduction of a local currency known as the “Malvern Pound”.
The project is looking to follow a successful template used in Stroud, Gloucestershire. The “Stroud Pound” was launched in September 2009 and there were more than 10,000 in circulation within a year.
