TWO planning applications and a tree work notification were approved by Malvern Hills District Council's southern area development control committee this week.
The three items shared one thing in common - they all involved the council, its members or employees.
The council itself was granted planning permission to install a new 19,000-litre diesel tank at its depot in Pendragon Close, Malvern Link.
Council employee Chris Farley-Lewis, a landscape officer, was given permission to erect a two-storey side extension for a house at Mill Lane.
And coun Ralph Madden of the Priory ward was given permission to fell two conifers and carry out other work to trees at his house in Victoria Road.
Coun Roger Hall-Jones said at Wednesday's meeting: "The only reason these plans have come before us is because council regulation bring them here."
