A FAMILY butchers is celebrating the royal wedding with a brand new banger.
R A Phipps in Hanley Swan has created a special sausage to mark the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday, April 29.
The Royal Wedding sausage is made with leeks, due to William’s links to Wales, British bacon to celebrate the nation’s produce and the sausage meat comes from pigs in Ledbury.
Since being introduced last week it has proved very popular, prompting the butchers to keep it as one of its regular flavours.
Pauline Phipps said: “It’s a really good sausage and we are really pleased with it, so we are going to carry on stocking it. ”
