DESPITE the closure of the Malvern Water bottling plant at Colwall, one local business is proving that there is still a strong demand for the product both close to home and further afield.
Holywell Spring Water is proving so popular that its owners, father and son team Mike and Rhys Humm, have had to take on a new employee to help them meet the demand.
And the man in question, Anthony Mitchell, is no raw recruit, bringing valuable skills and experience with him from his 22 years working as a technical operator at Malvern Water.
“As we expected we have certainly become more stretched with the demand we are receiving,” said Rhys. “February was our busiest month ever, then March took over that record and now we expect April to best that mark as well.
“Anthony will bring a wealth of experience and add greatly to our skillset.”
