A POWICK-based sales manager for Sutton Seeds has signed up to race in aid of a charity dedicated to creating gardens at children’s hospices across the UK.
Chris Ramsden has signed up for the 10-km Bupa Great Manchester Run on May 15 in aid of Greenfingers.
The 51-year-old said: “As a council member of the Garden Industry Manufacturers’ Association, I have been involved in fundraising for Greenfingers before. I am really pleased to have been given this opportunity to personally raise funds for an extremely worthy cause.
“I have run a couple of half marathons and a full marathon before, so I hope I will be successful in completing this run too.”
Greenfingers creates and improves a variety of different gardens at children’s hospices across the UK, to help the children and their family and friends during a very emotional and difficult time.
Deborah Skillicorn of Greenfingers, said: “I would like to thank Chris for signing up to raise funds for the charity in such a challenging way."
