UPTON’S local policing team says that parking in the town continues to be an issue.
PC Allen Naulls and community support officers Sally McPherson and Sarah Hide say that the main problem is cars parking in the bus stop and on double yellow lines along High Street.
This means buses cannot pull in, and therefore have to stay in the middle of the road, blocking traffic coming in and out of Upton.
The officers say that the majority of tickets being issued in relation to this problem are to local residents.
Complaints have also been received about parking in front of dropped kerbs, and the policing team is reminding drivers that this is illegal, even for blue badge holders.
