A MAN in his 60s has been seriously injured after falling from his pedal cycle in Castlemorton near Malvern, this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, a senior officer in a rapid response car and the Coventry and Warwickshire Air Ambulance to the scene on the B4208 near the Common in Castlemorton at 11.45am.
The cyclist was treated at the scene for his injuries before being airlifted to the trauma unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Ambulance crews treated a man believed to be in his 60s for serious head injuries. The casualty was stabilised by ambulance staff and flight paramedics before he was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment and treatment. The hospital was alerted to the serious condition of the casualty.”
