THREE celebratory events are being planned at St Gabriel’s Church, in Hanley Swan, to mark the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
On the evening of the bid day itself, Friday, April 29, there will be a special “wedding reception” with a smart dress code and featuring supper a licensed bar. Tickets cost £10 and are available from the village shop.
Then on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 there will be a wedding photography exhibition, when everyone is invited to bring their own photos along for inclusion. This will run from 2-5pm and cream teas will be available.
Taking place at the same time is a children and young people’s art competition and exhibition on the wedding.
There will be categories for paintings in three age groups and also for painted mugs.
More information about the competition is available from Sue Adeney on 01684 310440 or sadeney@metronet.co.uk and entries must be submitted by Thursday (April 21).
