MALVERN Rotary Club has now completed the second stage of its environmental project to plant trees to offset carbon emitted by the burning of fossil fuel.
100 broadleaf native trees, with a lifetime potential to capture around 100 tons of CO2, have been planted; 35 at Park Wood, a site under the management of the Conservators, thanks to Dave Jackson, and 65 at the Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern Wells, with the assistance of the greenkeepers and Fred Payne.
