THE Elim Arts Centre in West Malvern is the venue for the premiere of a new musical next week.

Created by Rob Holman, Attraction is an original musical being performed by the students of Regents Theological College.

It is being staged on Friday-Sunday, April 15-17, in the Elim Arts Centre in West Malvern.

Attraction follows the story of two average teens who, during an impromptu and awkward date, admit that they're just not attracted to each other. But after run-ins with a triplet of chavs, a basketball 'player,' a shaky green campervan and much more, is attraction really that important?

Rob Holman is in his second year studying performing arts and theology at the college, and he's also a musician, playing the piano, guitar and bass.

He said: "I've written various sketches and skits, and a load of songs, but this is the first full-length play I've done. I don't really know where the inspiration came from, but I was writing a couple of songs and the theme seemed to come together. I just thought, what if someone was on a blind date, or speed-dating and they were honest and said, I'm just not that attracted to you?"

Attraction is an all-singing, all-dancing musical with a host of new songs that you'll be humming on the journey home.

Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions), available from Regents Village Shop on 01684 588971, or from Lyttleton Well in Great Malvern.
